EVENTS

We would like to congratulate all of our riders for their successful show season in 2009. This is only our second year of training and showing and we feel it has been a great success. We couldn’t ask for a better group of riders to pair with our horses. Abriana & Piper and Allison & Trooper made 4H Districts this year and were just a small step from going to the 4H State Competition. Lizzy and Otis make everything they do seem easy; it is a great combination of horse and rider. Erin and Lexi surprised us this year. Lexi was a green broke 3 year old when Erin decided she wanted to ride her this Spring . We were so impressed seeing them at the Grange Fair this year. We saw a pair of veteran showman out in the ring. We are so proud of all of our riders and horses. There were celebrations, there were disappointments but there was a whole season of fun for both horses and riders. Our thanks goes out to our friends the Perdew’s (Marcia, Megan and Olivia). Megan and Olivia are both great riders and a pleasure to be around. Marcia is always there with a helping hand and a friendly smile. Congratulations to Megan for making State’s this year. Our entire farm is cheering for you. Last but not least we want to thank our trainer Megan Gerber. Megan has been with us a little over two seasons now and is the heart of our riding program. Her ability to work with both horse and rider in a professional manner is unique. We have witnessed trainers yelling at students in public (just yesterday at Grange Fair was the latest we have seen) and also getting mad at the horses due to the trainers inability to communicate to horse and rider. We see none of this with Megan. We can’t think of anyone else that we would trust our horses with or anyone better to represent our farm! All of our riding horses have been born and raised on the farm; they’re not just horseflesh that we have on hand to make money off of. They are our pride and joy and are a combination of great broodmares and outstanding stallions provided by our friend Jack Clark of Clark Farms. They are the heart of our program and our future. Thanks for taking such good care and using patience to train them Megan! We are already looking forward to a great show season in 2010. Keep up the great work everyone. You all make the farm fun and exciting. |
