Designed for riding students between the ages of 8 to 16.  Includes an hour riding lesson each day, introducing and emphasizing horsemanship within different disciplines of hunter, dressage, gaming and trail riding. Other activities include learning lead, longe, and ground drive.  Further seminars will be held on basic horse care: first aid, feeding, barn maintenance, pasture management, judging conformation, etc.  Also to keep students active and learning, many concepts in understanding our horse to human interaction will be introduced in games or competitions.  The program will run from 8:30am to 12:30 Monday through Friday. Friday will be a mock show for all participants to demonstrate their skills and knowledge to their parents and friends.

Advanced Horsemanship Skills

Designed for mature riding students that already have some riding experience that want to learn the basic training concepts through practice.  Using horses that have already learned these skills, the students will go through the methods of teaching horses to lead, longe, and ground drive. Students will learn to desensitize to saddles, bridles and riders.  Riders will have their horses perform exercises at the walk, trot and canter (if applicable).  Discussions and forums will be held to explain troubleshooting for common problems. The short-course will occur in the evenings 6-8pm Monday through Friday.
